This is the website of Michael Eggen, avid traveller and current VSO Volunteer. Its purpose is to keep my friends and family updated and help any interested find interesting travel and volunteering information. I am currently placed as an IT Instructor at Mekelle Institute of Technology in Mekelle, Ethiopia and travelling around Ethiopia and Africa on the side.

It was an amazing summer and now classes are starting up. The big news is that I proposed to Amanda on top of Mount Kenya and she said "Yes!" We safaried in Kenya for and then I went to Tanzania and did a bunch of trekking through Cultural Tourism Programs which are designed to promote eco and cultururally sensitive and sustainable tourism to some more remote areas of Tanzania.
